Graffiti of Function - 1

Softly sailing winds beg them to sway
Specks of Violet and Spots of Yellow upon the canvas Green
Shimmering by this place called Home.

Smells of life and love and family bloom
Sure as summer flowers grow (gladly loved and fondly seen):
Softly sailing winds beg them to sway.

Still need comes--Away, away!
Stay away! Foul Need! Police report you've been recently seen
Shimmering by this place called Home.

Someone opened the gates to let you stay
Serpent Need, substituting Gold and Gray for the canvas Green
Shimmering by this place called Home.

Somberly now we stumble on our way
Satisfied among the cool gray cities' polished sheen--
Softly sailing winds beg them to sway

Somehow still we beg of and, for, pray
Silent memories of the canvas Green (gladly loved and fondly seen).
Softly sailing winds beg them to sway
Shimmering by this place called Home
